High-quality saxophones need to be well protected, I know that from my own experience: my own SELMER Mark VI fell down the stairs of a parking garage years ago. The case (a SELMER Reference case, made by BAM) was a little dented (and still is today), but my beloved SELMER saxophone survived this heavy fall without any damage!

The most important thing about a saxophone case is the inlay material: BAM equips its cases with a special, shock-absorbing material. In addition, they are manufactured with precisely fitting shapes for SELMER saxophones so that they are enclosed in the case without slipping.

The BAM Hightech case for baritone saxophones is also equipped with the above-mentioned inlay material and protects the baritone saxophone from shocks in the event of a fall, so that the probability of damage to the saxophone is lower than with a case with a harder inlay material.

Feedback from professional saxophonists who take their baritone saxophone on tour in this case (e.g. on airplanes) is consistently positive. I am not aware of any case of a damaged saxophone that has fallen in this high-quality case.
